In at no.10 Birmingham City art gallery! If you want to see the best collection of pre-Raphaelite paintings it’s super duper!
Down to no.9 it’s the one, the only – Courtaulds Art museum in smelly old London town. Beautiful building, fantastic Impressionist art including a full sized Seurat, Sunbathing by the Seine. Pointillism at its’ stunning best!
In at no. 8 a whole County! Yes, it’s Cumbria or for us plebeians the Lake District. Flipping gorgeous! It’s so gorgeous the RAF sends it’s fighter pilots up and down the valleys at ‘zero’ altitude just to stare at the beauty of it all! It’s jet-tastic pop pickers!
Steady at number 7, it’s the magnificent, totally bodacious and ever so French- Normandy! With an amazing coast line including the incredible Mont St. Michelle. Them catholics sure know how to pile some stones in the middle of an estuary!
At no.6 this millennium it’s Paris and in particular Musee d’Orsay. Not only great art but the ceiling in the restaurant is flipping fandabadobolous mate! The waiters are obnoxious but it lends a certain charm!
Storming up to no.5 it’s New Orleans in the good ol US of A! The French quarter is totally atmospheric dude. Don’t miss a trip on a paddle steamer on big old Muddy!
Holding steady at no.4! This time it’s a whole country- Switzerland! Humungous mountains, 360⁰ beauty. Don’t drive too fast, more speed cameras than Queen Camilla has teeth!

It’s Greek-atropolis mate! Athens to be totally poptastic! The Parthenon, Acropolis, Stadiou and not forgetting them high steppin’ Evzonies dude! F Harry Stow! See what I did there? More restaurants than you can shake a stick at!
At no.2 – bad luck for Viking types! – it’s Norway! You didn’t see that coming did you! Who doesn’t like a fjord? To be honest, I prefer a VW. Er, sorry mate, we’re talking about geological fantasticness not some boring old gas guzzling tin boxes on wheels! I was in this harbour about half way to the Arctic circle when suddenly a full sized luxury cruise liner suddenly appeared! Shiptastic! It almost gave me the ships. If you get where I’m coming from.
But, top of these pops, the totally fandabadobolous totally gorgeous – Fig Tree bay in super Cyprus. No.1. All time greatest place ever.
