Not ‘obliterate’ in the ‘presidential’ manner. I mean REALLY make it so that it never worked ever again.
I saw a recent interview with one of the scientists that had worked on AI a few years ago during it’s inception.
He stated that it’s not only wrong to call it intelligence but also was never intended to be used how it’s being used now.
Intelligence implies that not only thought and data has been acquired but also that considerable input to any arising consequences from every possible aspect in the given circumstances.
THIS ISN’T HAPPENING. Instead it’s being manipulated to created worthless porn related images, corruption of young users as well as the “dark web”.
Furthermore, the G7 countries agreed they wouldn’t limit it’s use, or licence it to control who has it and what for, and (disastrously) have their own development under their own control.
HELLO??? Now you understand why I’d just destroy ALL of it. That way no-one can use it and everyone could use their imagination to make or create something. Preferably USEFUL!
It would require an endless budget too. AI is so out of control. No, I’ve never used it and never will intentionally.
You may think it could be useful if it was used properly. It’s almost like the box that Pandora had. Sadly, the good that it might achieve is totally eclipsed by the evil it’s being used for by ‘players’ that don’t answer to anyone.
For those who think “feed the hungry” or “build proper living areas for the afflicted” or “create better education” – all very laudable.
But AI is on the brink of displacing 000’s of workers, ruining the creativity of 00’s of others and never adding a shred of happiness and fulfillment to the population in general.
To misquote the Bard, “let loose the dogs of AI, cry havoc” and watch it all ruin the human experience.
