How do you plan the perfect road trip?
Map, food n drinks, fill the car with your chosen fuel and off you go!
Music tracks however, are the most important part of going anywhere.
Track 1 – Born to be wild. Kicker!
Track 2 – In the Summer time, Mungo Jerry. Try it, and then try not to dance!
Track 3 – Smoke on the water, Deep Purple. Preferably when you’re driving past a body of water. Doesn’t have to be Switzerland!
Track 4 – California girls, Beach Boys. Because it’s a good one!
Track 5 – Here comes the Sun, the Beatles. Going on holiday right!
Track 6 – Music is my radar, Blur. Actually, maps is your radar but you catch my drift.
Track 7 & 8 – from Bob Dylan: Blowin’ in the wind and Buckets of Rain.
Track 9 – Green onions, Booker T & the MG’s. Because!
Track 10 – Way over yonder, Carol King. Traveling see?
Track 11 & 12 – from the under-rated Crowded House. Weather with you and Not the girl you think you are. Come on, now we’re dancing!
Track 13 – 15 – David Bowie: Starman, Drive in Saturday & Sound and vision. Classic stuff!
Track 16 – Brothers in arms, Dire Straits. You can’t drive anywhere without Mark Knopfler making it sing!
Track 17 – 20 – ELO. Hold on tight, Wild west hero & Ticket to the moon. Get in!
Track 21 – 24 – Fleetwood Mac. Don’t stop, Albatross & Man of the world. Because some blues and Peter Green were meant for each other!
Track 22 – Foo Fighters: All my life. Turn it up! Full blast if you don’t mind. Ta.
Track 23 – All right now, Free.
Track 24 – Sunny afternoon, the Kinks. Really! Enjoy.
Track 25 & 26 – Led Zeppelin. Whole lotta love & Rock and roll. For the best drum solo you’ve ever heard.
And, for the inevitable traffic jam that WILL happen. Secret World live – Peter Gabriel. Just get out of the car and dance! Simple.
Feel free to add your own tracks but whatever you do, have a safe journey!
