Heights? Well . . .

What makes you nervous?

here’s the thing, I’ve climbed Snowdon, Ben Nevis (no, it’s not a person! 😂) Mount Teide and other hills.

No problem. But put me on a ladder or a set of high steps and it’s another story.

I was in the south of Holland in a place called  3 herenland. There was a tower that you could climb to take in the view. You can see Belgium, Germany and Luxemburg even France on a clear day.

But nobody told me about the glass floor at the very top!! I nearly had a heart attack! I dared to do it in the end but talk about palpitations!

My heart almost leapt out of my chest!

Spiders? Mice? Small dogs? Angry cats? Hostile people? NO PROBLEM! Bring it on.

Up a ladder? Are you having a laugh? I can’t believe I tried window cleaning after school once. Suddenly I was very attracted to retail work!

I understand that in the early history of skyscrapers in New York there were Mohawk native Americans who’d walk around 80+ floors up as if it was nothing.

That makes me giddy just thinking about it. No ta, I’d rather poke my own eyes out with a rusty nail.

There you are. Don’t ask me to come and paint the outside of your flat on the 25th floor! The answer’s NO!!!
