How has technology changed your job?
It hasn’t. Yay! And there was much rejoicing!
You see, wood is wood, carving tools have been around for centuries and the ability to make something people will like is present (or not) to bring that about.
Reaching people with your talent has changed of course. And so far, AI can’t make anything useful even though you might get a good idea from it which you might use in your area of interest.
But the technology to get yourself and your ideas in front of a given audience exists. Unfortunately the Internet is swamped with useless info and fraudsters who will grab any chance to part you from your hard earned.
Whilst it’s true that 3D printers can make virtually anything, where’s the personal creativity in that?
So, no, technology hasn’t changed my job. It has helped me to describe my art and make it available to others.
