What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?
It was very innovative in its day. The use of language was especially effective and isn’t seen in so called popular television today.
Classic sketch: the dead parrot. Closely followed by the Spanish Inquisition. A close 3rd, the architects sketch. And who can forget the cartoons with all their weirdness!
I do love a good detective story. Morse, Dalgleish, Poirot to name but a few. I used to do impressions on stage of Inspector Clousseau. Plus various comedians and singers. Fantastic fun.
I find modern ‘comedy’ quite bland by comparison but then again, the passage of time has an effect on your taste. The continuous use of foul language isn’t a comedic device under any circumstances. For that reason I quite like Bill Bailey. Comedian, outstanding musician and quite off the wall, if you get my meaning. Check out his doorbell sketch, quite brilliant.
Whatever you’re watching, enjoy.
