What is your all time favorite automobile?
Dilemma: the agony created by 2 opposite but equally enjoyable options (and quite possibly 2 of your worse nightmares!)
The TR series from Triumph motor cars in the UK was a constant development of a sports car idea that was available to the ‘ordinary’ bloke who couldn’t afford aPorsche, Ferrari etc.
For me the TR6 was not only elegant as a design but with a 2.5 litre fuel injection was as quick as anything in it’s class.
Never driven one ☹️ but I had 2 bosses who had E-types. One a v12 and the other a 4.2 straight 6.
No, I didn’t drive those either. 😒 so why are they my favourites. I don’t associate them with some misplaced masculinity.
I appreciate them for the design and style along with engineering skills which decades later, they are still to be seen and admired.
So if you’ve got a red TR6 sitting around that you’re not doing anything with or a primrose yellow E-type you want to give away, just DM me!!!
